[She stands up and pushes the chair in.]

[she wants to ask—]

[but she figures Maka will tell her when she's ready. they hadn't even gotten their ice cream, after all.]

Okay.

[And she starts to head off that direction to the ice cream place!]

[aaand initiating small talk.]

Ice cream always makes me happy.

I'm like that with smoothies.

Smoothies...those are the drinks that kind of like ice cream, right?

[She nods.]

Yeah! You should try some if you haven't already.

Do they sell them at the ice cream shop?

Not sure. We can check it out.

I'll definitely try one if they do.

[She smiles at her friend and then they arrive at the Ice Cream Shooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop!]

[the alien employees wave in acknowledgment; Xion comes here way too often, so she's become a sort of favorite of theirs. after entering the shop, she cranes her neck to get a look at the menu.]

Let's see, smoothies...

[She peeks along with her.]

Maybe I should get a smoothie instead if they have it.

Oh, they do!

[she points eagerly at the sign, at a section that lists different kinds of milkshakes and smoothies.]

Which is your favorite?

Mango-banana.

I've had mango ice cream before! I thought it was good. I've never had banana before, though.

You should give it a shot!

[she nods in agreement!]

It has to be good if you like it.

Trust me, it's delicious.

All right.

[she goes up to the counter and orders two smoothies! the cashier is at first surprised she's not ordering ice cream, but she laughs with him as they finish their transaction. a couple of minutes later, she returns to Maka with the drinks!]

This one's on me.

[Maka blinks, a bit surprised at this and takes her drink out of her hand.]

Really? Are you sure?

Yeah. You deserve it.

Heh, thanks. [And she goes and sits in a booth, sipping away~.]

[she follows her friend, entering to face opposite her. after she sits down, she takes a few sips of her smoothie...and her eyes widen.]

This... is really good!
